The Miðfjarðará River.

Undiscovered and Unspoilt Salmon River

The Miðfjarðará river winds its way through spectacular, unspoilt scenery. This is a part of Iceland that is really very remote (even by our standards!) and there is no farming in the river valley. In 2017 three new ladders were built on this river as part of the conservation process, creating a further 9km of fly fishing which is spread over two beats and many pools.
