Six Rivers Africa is a not-for-profit conservation initiative with the aim to understand, protect, and promote biodiversity in the wetlands and former hunting areas of Tanzania.
Today’s generation faces three global environmental challenges
- The destruction of the Amazon Rainforest
- The pollution of our oceans
- The decimation of the African savanna
The World Wildlife Fund’s “Living Planet Index” estimated that there had been a universal decline of up to 68% in biodiversity across the world over the last 50 years.
Six Rivers Africa was established to join the fight for the survival of the African savanna – adopting a data driven and ‘Tanzanian led’ approach to invest in wilderness areas for the benefit of future generations.
