New planting season begins with advanced facilities

At the start of this planting season, Six Rivers Iceland made significant strides in its planting operations with a brand-new plant resting area featuring an advanced watering system.

This year, we are embarking on our most ambitious planting effort yet, with over 200,000 saplings ready to take root along the Selá river. To ensure the health and vitality of these young trees, our new resting area provides optimal conditions for storing saplings before they are planted. Equipped with a modern watering system, this facility allows us to maintain ideal moisture levels, giving each sapling the best possible start with the option to treat for disease if necessary.

These advancements mark a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to restoring and preserving the natural landscapes of Iceland. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of these efforts as we continue to enhance the ecosystems within our river catchments.
